LORD OF THE FLIES

Book Review by: rimonda555

Original Author: William Golding
The novelist William Golding in the novel LORD OF THE FLIES draws a comparison between savagery and barbarism and civilization
and good manners. He raises an important question  that is  how will people  behave  if they are deprived of technology and easy life to live in an inhabitant primitive place.Do they keep their good manners and civilization so they behave accordingly or they turn to be  agroup of  savages.Lord of the flies symbolises the evil inside people and how this evil  may control their hearts and minds as well. The novelist  brings a group of childern  lost  to a desert  island  after their plane crash ;then those children start to lose their  good manners and civilization and turn into savages  in order to survive under hard circumstances. The novel ends with  two of the childern are killed by the others and turn themselves to be  the beast they have been afraid of in the beginning .Actually the novelist stresses the fact that even civilized people may turn to be savages if they have to and they mayeven kill  to keep their lives.
