The hero of the story is shaggy-haired,merry terrier inseparable from his owner,Auld Jock,a great-hearted shepherd. When he dies, worn out by too hard work i the country,Bobby is heartbroken. He used to visit all the places which they ''d been to.Sometimes good people gave him food, sometimes he stole it. Bobby knew where his
master had been burried and wanted to get there, but dogs are banned from the kirkyard.Bobby decided to win over the
door caretaker Mr Brown. Finally he achieved his heartfelt desire of lying on
Auld Jock''s grave.Soon after he followed many adventures and many obstacles he had to overcome but never failed to keep his
vigil on his most beloved master grave. The door caretaker was mooved by the dog''s love and invited him to his house by the cemetary, where Bobby spent the rest of his life, never failing his every day vigil on the grave. It is based on a true account. And the
dog has bronze statue in Edinburgh.I warmly recommend this book to everybody who knows what is dog''s love.
