Macbeth is the most striking of Shakespear''s plays. The wildness of the scenery, the sudden shifting of the situations and characters are exually extraordinary. The working of passion, the spells of magic, the overhelming pressure of unusual urges on human
passion with redoubled force.Macbeth
stands at the bay with his situation into which the communications of the Weird Sisters throw him.He is blindly rushing forward on the objects of his
ambition and revenge.Lady
Macbeth gives the ascendency over her husband''s faltering virtue. He and his
wife are in a war of opposite natures which shall destroy them.Macbeth ,after the death of Banquo wishes for his presence, and when the ghost appears,he cries out to quit his sight.Macbeth encouraged by his ambitious wife and the prophesy of the
witches slays Duncan the king and seized the throne for himself. But in sodoing,he has upset the natural order and cannot hope to prosper.Macbeth then loses his identity of character in the fluctuations of fortune or the storm of passion. He becomes tyrant.Macbeth wades throught the series of crimes to the height of his ambition but he is full of horror at the thoughts of the murderof Duncan. He is full of amezement and superstitions of the age,and of fear;and stands in doubt between the
world of reality and the world of imagination. For the moment that Weird Sisters eyes first meet with macbeth''s ,he is spell-bound.Taht meeting sways his destiny. He can never break the fascination. The Witches have power over his soul. All it do that ,sometimes we manage to sympathize with a cold-blooded murderer, who destroys himself ,at the end.
