Scarlet Letter...BOO! If there was ever a book I did not like this would have to be it. Yes, I understand it was written
way back when, but come on. People rewrite movies all the time so when is someone gonna rewrite this book. It needs some major work, if ya ask me. Not saying ya did, but I just read this book for English class and it about drove me up the wall, trying to
understand it.
The only thing that I did like was the last chapter and, no, it was not because of that simple fact, that it was the last chapter. I liked it because it was easier to read and understand. You get the point without having to read it over and over again. The other chapters, I had to reread the lines over and over just to make it make sense. I have this book at home, too, which was what I had to read when I wasn't in class.
My book was better because it is small print and the paragraphs weren't spread over pages. If you get a chance or absolutely have to read this book try to get a small print book and c.d's that read it for you to follow along. The best part of the book, my guess would be, starts at chapter 16 to the very end. Granted you can't just start there, so start at chapter one and don't give up. You'll get to the good part, it just takes time. You'll make it. Happy Reading!
