California Literary Review starts Tuesday with a bang not a whimper and this book from Stephen Mitchell has few failings
according to
California Literary Review. In fact its strengths are listed like a Who's Who's In Poetry/Literature.
The Second Book of the Tao contains
references to "Existentialism" and wasnt that an odd favourite of mine the writer too at Winchester in the 60s - 70s period of our existence but the California Review goes on to comment that the denial of Descartes' "I think therefore I am" is a huge oversight ...... do we dare to part our hair ... from the back, possibly its a link with TS Eliot but I wouldnt wade in too far to drown in literary references ... I will stay at the edge and get my feet wet only!
An exquisite comment by the California Literary Review is as follows ... "Pebbled stars" and there are maxims thrown in for good measure though possibly approval is granted here for Stephen Mitchell's delightful book ... nice work!
