When Jonathan Harker is sent to Transilvanya to complete some English real estate transactions with Count Dracula, that´s where it all begins. The count Dracula seems to be a kind host, who is also hungry for knoledge about the culture of London, so he asks Jonathan to stay a few more days to teach him more about England. Jonathan agreeds to stay as his guest for some more days, but he finds that he can´t leave the castle. Like being kindly kidnapped. He writes down in his diary everything he witness, his desperation, hoping that his girlfriend, Mina, would read that some day. Horrors are described, like the three vampire women living n the castle, the Count himself, creeping on the walls like a reptil, or his power over the wolves and how he gets rid of the mother whose child was the vampires "food".
What stand of this novel is the format it is narrated, there isn´t a narrator, or, there are many narrators, since the book is a compendium of all manuscripts wether they are letters, or diaries, or telegrams, everything carefully ordered by date; all of them beautifuly written in depth.
The story continues when de Count arrives London, where he slowly taker Lucy's life, finally turning her into a vampire. Then her new husband, Arthur, his friends John and Seward, and doctor Van Helsing, finally convinced that there is a Vampire between them; they decide to give Lucy´s body rest, and they proceed with the ritual that would end her life as vampire. After the hard work, they swear to find the Count and finish his evil existance. Jonatha made his way out of the castle and married Mina, they decided to never read the diary that ha filled its pages with the horrors that Jonathan lived in Transilvanya, but the sudden encounter with the Count turns Jonathan pale, so Mina decides to read the book and she contacts doctor Van Helsing.
The six of them jointed forces against the Count Dracula and they set up a plan to finish him. The Count fidns about this plan and he takes reprisal against Mina, and tries to convert her into a vampire, as he did with Lucy. Mina is at her limit, with every passing day, she is more vampire than human, so the alliance must hurry. They travel to the Count´s land, where he scapes from London.
The fight is also against time, they must find the Count before the sunset, because that´s where he gets all of his powers, and be captured before he gets into his catle, where he could finally rise victorious over his humans persecutors.
