The Incredible Hulk is the story of a
doctor, doctor Bruce Banner, who is in a terrible accident at the lab that he works at. His gamma radiation machine overheats and explodes and the toxic waste alters his chemistry. Whenever he becomes enraged, Doctor Banner turns into the Hulk, a green-skinned, 15 foot behomoth of a
monster. Once, he was able to control his rages, now, the monster within Doctor Banner can be unleashed in a moments notice. This usually happens when someone mentally or physically tries to mess with his mind or body, something that isn''t all-together wise to do.
Stan Lee, the creator of The Incredible Hulk, brought to life mankinds
ego and alter-ego
trying to exist inside one man''s soul, the latter trying to overcome the other by eradicating all that was
good and wholesome within Doctor Bruce Banner. One could almost link this with Mary Shelly''s Frankenstein, or Modern-day Prometheus, but where in one was stitched together with different body parts, the other was transformed by something that could ultimately bring the end to our civilization. Frightening
thought...
I also thought that the movie, The Incredible Hulk with Eric Bana and Nick Nolte was good, but the critics gave it a less-than-mediocre review. Too bad they''re not making as much as Mr. Lee. Right?
