Asterix and Obelix are Gauls from a small villages near coastal edge, that is surrounded by four Roman camps. Although Galia had been defeated by Roman, the villagers-especially Asterix and Obelix-didn't want to stop fighting against the Roman. The Roman soldier are suffered because of the enermous power from the Gauls, that came from Getafix's magic potion. The magic potion makes the drinker's power greatly increased so they could lift a giant stone, smash a solid stone-wall into pieces, and of course, kicking the butt of the Romans.
There are a lot of unique characters in the village. Asterix, the main character, is a very smart soldier, although he has small body compared to the Roman soldier. Obelix, Asterix's best friend is a very fat figure with 1000-elephants power. He got his eternal power because he fell into magic potion cauldron when he was a baby. Idefix, Obelix's dog,always willing to bite the Roman's butt, whenever, wherever. The Gaul are led by Vitalstatistix, a very brave chef that never being afraid, except if the sky fall into his head. There are another funny character such as Cacofonix the Bard, Getafix the druid, Unhygienix the fishmonger, etc. In conclusion, the Gauls can be described using three words: fight, banquet, and friendship.
During his adventure Asterix had been explored many places in the world. He went to Lutece (Paris), Goth, Belgium, Egypt, even Atlantis! He always bring a lot of great stories to be told to his friends, of course after the great banquet under the moonlight!
