Simple
Tomato Rasam.
For two persons:
Tamarind - Lemon size / shall i say about 1.5 inch diametered sphere
Tomato - 1
Peeled garlic pearls - 4
Dhania - 1
teaspoonBlack
Pepper - 1 teaspoon
Red dry
chilli - 1
Salt - to taste.
Procedure:
Soak tamarind in water and collect the extract. while tamarind is getting soaked peel garlic , and grind them in mixie with dhania and pepper. just a minute is fine. collect the resultant contents aside. in the same jar make tomato as paste/squash.
Lets start: in a kadai add one teaspoon oil and when it is hot add pieces of chilli mix and then the pepper/garlic/dhania mixture and mix. when the strong flavour is there or the fresh flavor ceases add our tomato and mix lightly till the fesh smell of tomato ceases. now add the tamarind extract mix and add salt to taste. add a pinch of compound asafotedia if available. reduce flame and allow to froth at top. In a few minute turnoff the burner before rasam starts to boil.
It actually takes less time to do than to read. Serve it to the american and they should enjoy it like soup.
dhania , pepper and tamarind will take care for better digestion while asafotedia will take care for gassssss.
