Sephi Bergerson is an Israeli photographer. His journey started from Israel to the US to Israel to India. He has based in India and lives in New Delhi with his family. He is a renowned photographer and once the president of Photographer's Association of Israel. His main purpose for relocating to India was to made a documentary.
Though not a documentary, he wrote a book with excellent photographs of a topic hitherto untouched by Indian authors. This book deals with the street foods of India across all the major cities. One who has been in India know what street food mean here. To taste the ultimate Indian dish, you will have to come out of the five star restaurant and go to the street.
This book is written about all street food. One major attraction of the book is the photograph of exotic foods, as expected by an eminent photographer.
As authors said in his preface that he wrote this book to give the place to the street foods. A magazine or newspaper may be a place but since a book has more shelf life this will give these unknown stars some recognition. He is right as not any writer from India dared to write on this subject. Being the first book makes this all more important.
