I bought this book as soon as I found out that I'm pregnant. It was recommended by two of my then-pregnant
friends. They said that the book has made their journey into
motherhood more exciting and less daunting. I am now on my 18th week, and true enough, this book has been a major part of my
pregnancy. Considering that this is my first, I find that I am more calm, confident and optimistic than other pregnant moms.
The book guides its readers through every stage of pregnancy. It aptly starts out with preconception tips (for couples trying to get pregnant) and it concludes with postpartum pointers for new mommies and daddies. It delves deep into every cramp, flutter, cramp and kick that pregnancy brings. It explains in detail the diverse symptoms that moms go through so that we are not left feeling our way around as pregnancy progresses.
What To Expect When You're Expecting is exactly what it claims to be. It shows you precisely ... literally ... the things that women should expect when they're expecting. Starightforward, unadorned, uncomplicated. No book could be more suitably named!
