This is a book of varied and assorted quotations on science, the scientific frame of mind, and various scientific methods,
subjects, and philosophies. Most standard books of quotations are woefully lacking in
quotations on science and scientific subjects and outlooks. This book seeks to remedy that lack.
There are found here quotations on various topics, arranged alphabetically by subject, in the main part of the book. There are also indexes of Subject by Author (i.e., subjects with authors who have quotations listed in this volume), and also of Author by Subject (i.e., the subjects each author listed herein covers). But by far the most
fascinating and useful part of the book is the VERY extensive list of books and articles from which the quotations are drawn (36 single-spaced pages of bibliography).
Another pleasant and funny feature of this book is the cartoons at various places in the text, illustrating various quotations throughout.
