This is a handy paperback dictionary for translating English words into their Spanish equivalents, or Spanish words into
their English equivalents. It is a part of the WEBSTER'S CLASSIC REFERENCE LIBRARY. There are over 60,000 words and translations. It is a very simple bilingual dictionary. There is one English word for each Spanish word, generally speaking, and also one Spanish word is translated by one English term.
All of the words, in both the English and the Spanish sections, are broken up into syllables, and printed in darker black print. The Spanish words have the gender given for each noun; verbs are indicated by the
abbreviation v., and the adjectives by the abbreviation adj.; conjunctions are signified by conj.; and adverbs by adv. The English words are similarly described as to parts of speech, although no genders are given for the English word itself, but only for the translated-to Spanish term.
This book is of a very handy size. It is a paperback and can only be described as one of the most convenient handbooks for word-to-word translation in existence. It is simple and easy to use, and covers most words that the beginning to intermediate student or user (casual or otherwise) will need, especially on a day-to-day basis.
