Special Forces Heroes

Book Review   by:BobHinton     Original Author: Michael Ashcroft
ª

Written by Lord Ashcroft this is the latest in his books about heroes of the armed forces. A handy book to keep on a military collectors bookshelf, it suffers somewhat from including too many segments from other peoples work. This leads to a disjointed and somewhat lumpy read.
The inclusion of many awards that were not made to Special Force servicemen, but to those who carried out special force missions also dilutes the quality of this book. As a reference book, and as one of a series it is adequate, but it does not fare well as a standalone volume.
It should be pointed out that Lord Ashcroft’s share of the royalties will be going to servicemen’s charities.
Profusely illustrated and with a good index.
