Every human has a concern in the area of guidance which is not entirely new to Filipino life. This book focus more on the traditional respect for our elders and their experiences. The role of the elders in school has serious responsibilities in molding the young. It is not easy and difficult for the teachers, school administrators and supervisors to be properly equipped and trained to the their role.
The aim of this book is to help the guidance workers not only the parents, and the school administrators in their day to day encounter with the students.
It discuss also in this book the occupational outlook of the students regarding employment opportunities and trends.
So many persons have contributed to the development of the points of view represented in this book.
A very good point and significant topic in this book is a brief history of the guidance movement in the Philippines as well as in other countries.
Aims and purposes of Guidance is to help individual by his own effort as far as possible to achieve up to the level of his own capacity. It also assist the individual to meet and solve his own problems as they arise and to make correct interpretations of facts and wise choices and adjustments. Finally it also help individual lay a permanent foundation for sound, mature adjustments.
