Training is a life long socialization, an aspect of acquiring the needed skills and technique for proficiency. It is also a process of being thorough in the task and challenges in a given endeavor/filled.
Most great men of repute did not achieve their feat all of a sudden, they passed through various tutelage and tutorials before they delved into the business of affecting the life chances of many.
The trust of this is that training brings into the fore, the personal experience and hope that one is likely to invest in the development of a stable and valuable service. Training and retraining of staff will unarguably safeguard our consciousness and promote our performance.
There is no gainsaying that adequate training will enable our leaders to appropriately address our need professionally. It is pertinent to note that officers who do not undergo training grow below the scobe of age, ranks, experience and exposure.
Democracy is an i deal, where peoples’potentials are essential condiment for growth. Thus the right environment is created for civil discourse and temperate discussion as well as for positive reasoning.
In the past, services to the corporation and being in the position of authority was recognized as means of to social and economic aggrandizement. One’s profession was likened to a suit of a piece of cloth that could be discarded or exchanged. It should not be so, for each new life skill acquisition there is hope that comes along...
Most of the problems inherent in our profession today are as a result of lack of training and exposure. Anytime an officer attends courses or an organized training pertaining to the enhancement of his profession or job schedule, it’s like a great iceberg where underneath the surface, there is a system of values. The value attained could be likened to a security blanket, which has great meaning to its owner.
The values we cultivate provide us with security and contribute to our sense of personal and social identity. Thank God we have a leader whose vision is not blurred by sentiment or social affinities not blur but who places premium on training and retraining. To him, to be trained is to be equipped and to be equipped is to disperse fear and intimidation with what you know; hence, there is no crisis of confidence.
