Harry Potter and the Philosopher''s Stone (or the "Sorcerer''s Stone", as they call it in the US) is an amazing story about a boy who has lived the first eleven years of his life very maltreated by his family, which is composed of his uncle Vernon, his aunt Petunia and his unbearable cousin Dudley (I think he is gay). The day of his eleventh birthday, Harry receives a letter for him (for the first time in his life), actually he gets millions of them. When he reads one of th letters he discovers that his hole life is going to change forever. Then, the real story begins. He finds out that he was born to be a wizard and he is sent to a Wizarding school to learn some magic, that he will have to use to survive many adventures.
This book is the beginning of a whole world of fantasy and imagination. Personally, it is one of my favorites. I can''t say how grateful I am with the autor for writing this and the six books that follow, which have made me remember my childhood and feel as a kid again, letting my imagination create something different from the world where we live.
