Narnia is in trouble. Tyranny is taking over the Kingdom again. And the four Pevensie children are absent. They must be called back, they must return. It is only one year after for them, but in Narnia, it is almost 1,300years and things have changed drastically since then. Narnia is now ruled by an evil King Miraz who has forcefully taken over the throne from his young nephew Prince Caspian. Caspian, who is the direct opposite of his uncle when it comes to character and visualizing what is good or evil, realizes that he is
going to need more help than he already has to claim his throne. He then uses the magical horn that was left back in Narnia to summon those who had once helped the Narnians defeat tyranny. Together, Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy join forces with Prince Caspian and his small army of Narnians to overthrow King Miraz. But even with their help, Caspian sees that it is going to be hard to overthrow Miraz. But that is not the only problem. Caspian calls up the White Witch. I cannot leak out the
movie ( sorry ) but know that here, she is only an apparition from the other side, the side of the dead, so there can possibly be no talk of her return. Something happens so that she is not released.
There is even the addition of a new character. A character that rises from within water. He can be assumed to be a water god--probably the Emperor Over the Sea. The part of the character in this movie is somewhat patronising and commanding and so plays what could be described as a subtle backing to the story.
Though some few details have been modified ( Caspian' s character has been given a bit of a rough edge ) or added in the movie version, the
story remains the same as in the novel version. As captivating and as fantastic as ever,
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian is going to be a lot better and darker than the first, having more action and magic. With over 1,500special effect shots compared to the 800special effect shots in the first, this movie is going to be a whole lot better.
