This, the spectacular final book in the Liveship Series incredibly ties up nearly all of the lose ends. Rhyn sets out with the dragon to save Malta and the serpents. Althea finally finds Vivacia but the ship is no longer the Vivacia that she knows. In a spectacular show-down as Paragon and Vivacia finally meet, Windrow, Malta and Althea are reunited. Amber finally meets the 9 fingered slave boy who looks like Althea that she has been constantly seeking. Kennit, Kyle and the annoying Satrap's fates are decided and Paragon's carefully hidden secret surfaces. Malta takes on an important role of negotiating, not only for the Satrap, the dragon and her future but also for the Rain Wilds, Bingtown and the Vestrit family. The fate of the serpents is left unanswered but hope is held for the survival of the race. Amber's next adventure draws close and for those who have not yet figured out who she is a final clue can be found in her work on Paragon's face. Thus the world of the Elderlings has changed in the 15 years since Fitz and the fool saved the Six Dutchies and fans of this series can look forward to the next installment from the Six Dutchies side of the world.
