This absorbing book is well set to attract a wide readership among those involved in innovation. The language is very simple and understandable and the style is lucid.

Innovation in business is an important process that makes use of any usefull idea, develops it, implements and improves it. In fact the businesses at large are not short of ideas. What they are short on is the ability to innovate. Any business can conceive an idea easily. But it is different as well as difficult develop that idea in to something that a business can market or sell. Most of the businesses find innovation as the difficult process.

The book is divided into five chapters and the chapters are broken into meaningful sections. The book will definitely help any one to introduce innovation in his work area. It will guide him not only how to be innovative to himself, but also innovative to other people. Making innovation happen … describe four key elements that are critical for performing that. They are a. purpose, b. commitment, c. ideas, and d. support. Chapter 2 focuses on ideas and traces its origin (where from they are coming?) Examines different innovations types. Chapter 3 considers first three of the four key elements – a. purpose, b. commitment and c. ideas and the chapter 4 is all about the forth element d. supporting the innovation i.e., creating the right environment needed for innovation to flourish. Chapter five deals with the tool kit. It is collection of activities, worksheets and checklists that the innovators can use.
