First, the cover art of this book captured my attention. It had a mysterious quality about it. When I began reading it I was pleasantly surprised that it was easy to read yet oozed with practical advice for real life. There are many references to scripture for the christian reader, but anyone can glean from the sheer volume of insight found in the principles outlined. The theme is "Character development equals true Success". The author poses the theory that if you will be willing to transform, what he calls "the willingness to exchange what is for what could be", you can reach your goals and realize your dreams. Referencing the life and development of a seed throughout, the author draws attention to the fact that the seed begins it's journey in obscurity hidden below the earth's surface and that only a transformation in the seed will allow it to push up out of obscurity. The author encourages a metamorphosis of thinking and feeling that will ultimately end in a "breakthrough".
Some of the principles contained really stuck out in my mind like; Destination is a place-destiny is a person. Also, when the author spoke of the importance of humility he made the statement "You will never outgrow what you cannot get under". This book is littered with these "gems of wisdom" that make it well worth the price of admission.
There is also quite abit of humor throughout. I especially enjoyed the last chapter of the book when the author references the growth and developent of a child to share some practical insights into spiritual maturity. You are gonna enjoy this book.
