Rules of the Game

Book Review   by:LyaBell     Original Author: Kerri Stocks
ª

Kerri Stocks is a mother to her two children, Brandon and Jessica. After dealing with tough childhood, the stocks' were informed that Brandon has ASD diagnosis. After some exhausting attempts of Kerri and her family to participate the regular mainstream treatment, they had enough of it. Kerri understood she had to give her son the knowledge he didn't have, a knowledge that her daughter had learned of as well. They are both now able to understand complicated social situations.

Kerri chose to publish this guide after receiving enthusiastic responses from parents she had been working with as their consultant. The prime message on these books was never to fix the children. They are not the ones who need to be fixed. It is rather the parents who might need some help with how to talk and understand their children better. This streaming path of communication thus yields a better understanding and the ability of the child to forecast the reaction of others in relation with his behavior.
