Everyone has different fears in life. It can be fear of rejection, fear
of failure, fear of unhappiness, fear of losing
money, fear of being
alone etc. but the real question is, where does fear comes from? Why do
we fear if we are assured that God is our helper; Hebrews 13:5 God has said, “Never will I leave you nor forsake you”,
this verse is not just a mere statement, this is a promise of God and
to Him promises are not meant to be broken. When I was still a kid I
remembered this instance that I woke up late at night and I have to
pee, I hate it because the
comfort room is downstairs. All lights are
out, everyone is sleeping. I’m afraid of the dark; I tend to imagine
scary stuff that might get me while peeing (and man, it gives me
shrieking goose bumps). I hurriedly went to my mom’s room, and woke her
up, I told her that I have to pee and she has to wake up and go down
stairs with me. With that I wasn’t afraid anymore knowing that she’s
just there waiting. Isn’t that a nice thought that we don’t have to go
to heaven and wake up God and ask Him to be with us because we feel
afraid? We can say in confidence, “The Lord is my helper” I will not be afraid- Deut. 31:6
God doesn’t check us from time to time; He is always there by our side.
Do you know that fear shows lack of trust on God? It is. Imagine your
mom and a stranger; both of them are holding your favorite ice cream
cone, which one will you get? I’m definite that your answer will be
your mom, because you know her and you trust her. Likewise with our
God, if we feel afraid we don’t run up to the enemy (unless you trust
the enemy with your life) we run up to God because we know Him and we
trust Him. When I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God, whose
word I praise, In God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal
man do to me?-Psalm 56:3-4 Trust in God casts not just some, but
all fear. Fear should disappear in our hearts, don’t let it sink in;
unclog it by calling upon the name of the Lord. Take refuge in Him for
in His name we are safe. Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be
dismayed, for I am the Lord your God. I will strengthen you and help
you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand- Isaiah 41:10 We
should be like a little boy who’s learning to ride his bike and gives
his completes trust to his father who assures him that he’ll be there
to guide him. The boy knows no fear because he’s assured that he’s safe
in his papa’s arms. As a child of God be at peace that whenever we feel
uneasy and full of fear, the Lord is always ready to strengthen us and
take away all fears in our hearts. Fear disappears when we are fully
equipped of God’s word. Know and Keep His promise. We should keep in
mind that Fear is not of the Lord it’s from the enemy who snatches our
trust. Does love casts away fear to? Yes it does. There is no fear
in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with
punishment. The man who fears is not made perfect in love. 1John 4:18
The love that builds confidence also banishes fears. If you are a
person full of fear that darkens your heart always remember that there
is a so called love flashlight of God that is always there to lighten
it up, and that is His word. The Lord is my light and my
salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of
whom shall I be afraid of – Psalm 27:1 How to make your fear
disappear? Let God take over your life and put your trust on Him
because He knows no fear. Seek Him, for He will drive all fears out of
your life just like what he promised.
