This collection of these inspiring thoughts has been taken from the writings of Paramahansa Yogananda, founder in 1917 of
Yogoda Satsanga Society of India and in 1920 of the Self-Realization Fellowship in America. His life’s work was the dissemination of the spiritual science of Kriya Yoga, a technique of
meditation whereby man may attain direct personal experience of God Consciousness. He has shown thousands of spiritually aspiring men and women hoe they can commune with that omnipresent consciousness which is the “light of the world. “ This wisdom may be heeded by every man who would improve himself and strive to realize the highest goal of life. If you apply them in your endeavours, material and spiritual, your actions will be surcharged with divine power. If your mind is filled with light, there can be no darkness for you. This Diary is intended as a daily guide to spiritual thinking, the foundation of spiritual living.
JULY 1. Freedom means the power to act by soul guidance, not by the compulsions of desires and habits. Obeying the ego leads to bondage; obeying the soul brings liberation.
SEPTEMBER 20. First meditate and feel the Divine Presence; then do your work saturated with the consciousness of God. If you do this you will never become tired and your life will be filled with
love and strength.
