This book is a practical working guide and logbook for opening up one''s life and one''s mind. It is meant to
be used in conjunction with the author''s book, CREATIVE
VISUALIZATION. It can, however, be profitably used alone or in conjunction with other meditative and self-help works and workings.
The book has an introduction which tells you how to use the book; five sections detailing the methods and
techniques that are illustrated here; and, finally, a workbook record to give yourself gold stars for dates you do your work therein, if you so desire.
The first section introduces you to a few basic techniques of creative visualization, (such as writing affirmations, treasure mapping, etc.) and provides space in the book to practice these and keep a record of your practice and its results. It then gives you suggestions for these techniques and their continuing use.
The second section covers goals--how to create them, enjoy them, and work with them over varying periods of time (a goal without a timeframe is still just a wish, important as that is), without letting the idea of a goal terrorize or straitjacket you.
The third section discusses clearing, that is, finding and getting rid of negative beliefs, ideas, thoughts, and belief systems, in order to replace them with positive ones. It also deals with clearing anger and guilt, by forgiving yourself and others for past wrongdoing.
The fourth section provides space to work with, and record work on, specific areas of your life: relationships with self and others, home and possessions, health and appearance, recreation and travel, and the world around us.
The fifth and final section covers some special techniques for opening up your imagination, creativity, and vitality: for instance, making lists of things you like and appreciate about yourself, others, and your life in general.
The beauty of this workbook is that it can spur you to action--It is not just reading but doing. Change counts, and is beautiful.
