Ayn Rand''s novels preach her philosophy of ''Objectivism''. Atlas
Shrugged is the culmination of that. This 1000 plus page
novel is a modern heroic romance set up in the post world war America. This novel catches attention though the style and volume it is written.
Three heroes, one heroine, a
corrupted political system, great minds getting corrupted in a desperate attempt to survive ... much more interesting things well laid out in the background to make a great story in
line with the Mahabharatha. There is lot of similarities between the two - including a long preaching of the right way of life.
Do you want to read a thriller? Are you looking for an ideal heroic story where the good triumphs over the evil? Are you sick of seeing illogical things around you and desperately looking for logical meaning and meet characters that think the way you think, feel the way you feel and events happen the way you would like to see the world to be? Then read this novel. For any mood, any time, any part of it. Atlas shrugged is a pleasure to read.
The story is well known for its
beginning phrase, the hot line ''Who is John Galt?''. The
heroine finds out the answer to this in the middle of the story. But that is only a beginning of another phase in the story. There is so much to learn and enjoy in this. Do not miss it.
