Anzelle is a lawyer. Anzelle doesn't
read books ... well at least not those manuscripts required by law. I should be saying something about the
book, but in this
instance I believe Anzelle could have written something more authoratively, since she read the book about nine times. Wilbur Smith like many other authors started
writing according to a formula after his initial success. In this instance, he tried his hand at writing in the first person and the gamble worked. Coupled with some good research on
Ancient Egypt, a love story, some truly villainous characters, a war, and a pharaoh that believes beef testicles is the ancient world's answer to Viagra, and you have a book that is a pleasue to read. Make sure you order the unabridged version though. One edition had some text deleted.
