The book started with the experiential truth that our churches are healing places. As anthropologically studied, men
of all faiths, all religions, have always had a sacred place which was not
ordinary but above ordinary. It is so with Catholic Faith where its very heart is the sacrifice of the mass considered by their faithful as the highest form of prayer. Traditionally, it was based on the traditional Catholic teachings which can be derived from apostolic tradition and biblical perspective citing the last supper in Matthew 26: 26-28 - (New American Version) that says, "... Take this and eat it,", he said, "this is my body... then he took a cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them... All of you must drink from it", he said, "for this is my blood, the blood of the covenant, to be poured out in behalf of many for the forgiveness of sins.".The author of the said book emphasized healing that may be taking place in any part of the mass. Beginning from Introductory and Penitential Rites through which the faithful prepare themselves and ask for forgiveness as a community. The Gloria and the Oration follow glorifying God, the creator of life. Healing may happen then depending on the disposition of each person. The first part of the Eucharistic
Celebration is the Liturgy of the Word where the following are being dealt with that may result to healing: Scriptures readings especially the Gospel and Homily of the officiating priest wherein healing can take place by listening to God''s messages. The Creed and Prayer of the Faithful follow as a response to God''s goodness and Prayer of the Faithful where petitions are lifted up that may lessen heartaches as there is hope that prayers out of faith may be answered in accordance to God''s time. The next part of the Mass is the Liturgy of the Eucharist. It starts with the Offertory where healing happens because of generosity - the joy of giving. The Consecration happens next focusing on the Paschal Mystery of Christ. The Catholic faithful believe that the ordinary bread becomes the Body of Christ in the mystical process called Transubstantiation. Communion Rite follows which is heighten by the Lord''s Prayer which was taught by Jesus Christ himself as cited from the Holy Bible. The Communion, where the faithful eat the bread in solemnity. The Concluding Rite ends the celebration with the greetings of peace. The author presented in detail with biblical citations and testimonies the healing that may take place in any of the parts of Mass mentioned - the Eucharistic Celebration which is the highest form of prayer for Catholic Faithful.
