Book of Jude

Book Summary by: TelsCafe

Original Author: Holy Bible
The " Book of Jude" is written by Jude, the brother of James. It is the second to the last book of the New Testament, before
Revelation.
"Jude" has only one chapter which include the following: Jude's greetings, his warning to the Christians to defend their faith against false teachers, and beautiful final prayer. In his opening greetings he writes that he is the brother of James (who is the brother of Jesus), the author of the letter of "James." This would therefore make Jude a brother of Jesus.
Jude says a lot about false teachers and that they will be punished by God. In verse three, He was much eager to write about our salvation, however, he changed topics to contending for the faith that embodies the body of Christian doctrine taught by Christ, and later on passed to his apostles.
His primary purpose in writing to the Christians is to warn them of false teachers (verses 4-16), not to follow their teaching nor imitate their way of life. He directs Christians on how they can succeed in spiritual warfare.
Jude ends with the most beautiful doxology or prayerlike-blessing, often given as a benediction especially in Protestant services. (Quote is taken from the Holy Bible, New International Version, Hodder and Stoughton): "To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy – to the only God our Savour be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and for evermore!"
