In the book The Power of a Praying Wife, author Stormie Omartian goes through the aspects of married life as they affect
both the
husband and the wife. Each chapter
addresses life issues that the husband may be dealing with and offers approaches to effectively pray for the issue. The tone of the book addresses the issue of self-examination and the possibility that God would have wives accept the very real possibility that there are aspects of her life that need to change in order to facillitate change in her spouse. I felt that this book was very helpful to the average Christian wife and mother because it addresses some basic and critical concerns that affect both husband and wife. The topics include work, finances, affection, temptations, fears, purpose, choices, health, protection, trials, integrity, reputation, priorities, relationships, fatherhood, his past, attitudes, his marriage, his emotions, his spiritual walk, his obedience, his self-image, faith, and his future. The book also deals with his Christian walk and how he talks.
In summary, I believe that this book can assist the Christian wife and mother to pray for herself, her husband, and the issues that so deeply affect the marriage as a whole.
