This book was written by arabist, lecturer, who spent many years in arab countres. The author describes life, customs and
culture of Arabs. The first chapter was added after assassination on the 11 of September. She condemns terrorism just like Arabs( and Muslims ), who are perceive as danger. Two supplements: A and B at the end of book, include information in Arabic language. Arabs value foreing people, who speak their language, because their consider it the most imortant part of culture. Thera are several different kinds of Arabic,and in each arabic country people speak in differndway. Some are similar, other not. The author compares arabic with languagesof Scandinavian Peninsula ( kinds of Arabic are similar to each other just like Norwegian and Swedish). She describes also differences between arabic counties: social structure, pupulation, history, political system, sitoation, lifetime of people, customs, religion. She decided to devote this book
