a man was running in the deep forest, breathing heavily and out of breath. he had been running from something that had
followed
him and was drawing near him. no matter how fast he ran, the thing that
followed still kept up the pace. what was following was not of human origin. it did not look like an animal or any other ea\rthly
creature. what was it? it had the speed of a cheetah and the strength of a bear. the man stopped at a tall tree to catch his breath. he looked behind him for a second and tried to fix his gaze on the direction that he had come from. there was no monster coming after him, no one in sight. 'there must of been something' he thought as he leaned back on to the tree and sunk to the ground. he put his head into his hands and laughed at himself. he felt stupid, running from something that was not there. it was ridiculous. as he caught his breath at last, the thing that chased him suddenly appeared in front of him, hanging from the tree above him.
the energy had escaped him and he just laid with no power to lift his hands to defend himself. thats when the creature took the opportunity. first, its long thick tongue wrapped itself around the mans head and squeezed tightly enoough to break the mans skull with a loud cracking sound. the mouth and lips of this creature expanded open and the man was sucked into the creatures mouth like a vacuum cleaner and was swallowed whole.
