"I''ve seen the darkness, I know the secrets that it hides, and I have felt the pain. I have felt my own blood puddle under me, I know the price it holds and on the 9th day I will pay that price."

The 9TH Day: Introduction
Lifeless...Broken...Hatred...Brutal...I was afraid of being part of life and even worse miss it. A marriage based on lies, I fell so hard that the blow has left me cold and broken. I hated life for what it did not give me and the man who had taken it from me. I could not be touched, was too empty to see that all I had to do was reach out; I was too scared to act on it. To broken to heal the endless wounds, find a stranger and you''ll be safe, find a stranger I''ll be safe. A stranger found me.
I remember the pain, so much pain and the evil that follows torment. The fevered rush that surges through your soul and feeds the hatred it leaves inside you to rot. It keeps you locked in its brutal clutches until you find a release. My screams only made it stronger, my tears only turned it into something else.
"Swallow the pain and let it take you somewhere else."
I want to wake up, I want the light, and I want the life. It hurts so much and yet I feel so little, I feel so far away from everything I knew and loved, they all seem like a dream to me I am unable to have or hold. Surrounded by strangers yet I am so alone, I will never see my family and friends again, I know this now. It is so cold and empty here, I will never love or be loved again, and there is no pity or remorse for the pain they cause. Their eyes relentless and dark; their nails rip my flesh, blows so hard that my bones break. I think I am in hell because I cannot wake up from this, I can feel the blood run down my face, and the cries go unheard. Prayers for which even God does not hear, held in a prison of despair that they will not release me from, held in terror of the known and the unknown. Pain for which there is no release, begging for death from those with no compassion, grief or remorse. Only hatred for a life they never knew, only scorn for the soul they torment and the body they beat and torture.
''I think I''m dying''
Stare at me and you will see yourself in my eyes, take me inside and feel the cries.
Hold me now as I bleed through, feel the pain that no one knew.
Seal it closed with a fist, treat me as if I was never to exist.
I see death grow closer with every blow, I let out a scream that lets me know, That I''m still breathing, That I''m still alive, that my heart is still beating, That I can''t die.
They haunt me. They hunt me…They tell me…Take the blows…Swallow the blood...Break my bones...Take the pain…Scream for me…Love me…Beg me...Beat me…Rape me...Cut me…Bleed me...Hate me...Bury me...I''m yours.
"I''m dying."

"I''m dying"
Her body lay silent on the bed now, dressed in torn and bloody black overalls. She shook as he bent over her and softly kissed her pale bloody lips. She struggled hard to just breathe, blood bubbling slowly out of her nose with every ragged, exhale. He knelt geer, slowly touching her face with the back of his hand.
"I wish we had more time,” He smiled softly. "I can''t save you Tessa, but I can release you from all your pain."
He slowly kissed her again; lifting the mask that had lay beside him and placed it tenderly on her terrified face. "It''s over now. You are the end."
Standing up at the edge of the bed for a moment, he stared down at her, then turned and walked away quietly. She gasped hard as blood flowed up out of her throat and ran down the side of her mouth, forcing her to breath in painful raspy gasps. The pitiful cries were too soft for any one to hear. Tears slid from her eyes and she could hardly move anymore as she slowly started to fade. There were no screams, just weak cries, her heart beat ebbing. Her life would soon end; a brutal destiny that was not supposed to be hers. Nevertheless, had become hers with a slice of a knife. Her eyes growing so afraid and distant, her body trembling in an unforgiving and relentless pain, she stared out at the room before her. "I know this room," she thought. Tessa let out a weak cry that no one would ever hear. "Wait."
Chapter Two: A New Life
Omaha Nebraska...Another city in the middle of the Great Plains, It was a small city compared to the Giants on the coasts. Rumour stood in a black silk business suit outside the radio station she managed. Her hair was just as black as the suit she wore and her vivid blue eyes made the perfect backdrop to a stunning face. She was made of all the genes a model had and then some; perfect red nails and long wavy hair, the kind of woman that looked stunning naked and wet or covered in mud. With a little smile, she opened the passenger side door of a 2004 Mustang GT and slid down onto the soft leather seat. Leaning back she smiled again and his play on the CD-Mp3 player in the dash.
"Is this the 7 year itch or what?" Rumour said, looking at Tessa with a sideways glance.
"I don''t think so."
Tessa leaned her head back against the seat, her hands on the steering wheel. Her face was gentle and kind and her dirty blond hair flowed just over her shoulders. Her eyes were dark as the night, set into a pretty face. A small rhinestone piercing sat in the middle edge of her bottom lip. "What''s with the lip anyway?" Rumour asked, lightly touching the stone with her perfectly manicured finger nail.
"Just something new," Tess said softly.
"I see that, It looks good,” Rumour said sweetly. “Did that hurt?” She asked cringing at bit at the thought of a needle going threw her friends lip. “No, not really,” Tess replied. “You’re my best friend and I don’t understand what is going on here? Why are you doing this? You are not 20 years old anymore. You have a job and a business to take care of here. You have your radio show to plan for, and do," Rumour said all in one breath.
"I know, a week won''t kill me. I''m single again and I don''t know what to do with myself. I just need to just get a taste of my new freedom."
"Tessa, he left you three years ago. Come on, are you seriously just feeling this now?" Rumour asked with a shake of her head.
"I''m restless. I need an infusion of life I think." Tessa shook her head lightly, gazing at her hands and picking at a finger nail.
"Stop that!” Rumour said, popping her hand lightly. Tessa gazed up and laid her back and sighed. “You need to get laid Tessa...Get infused here...Go out with my cousin...Get a little…Three years of no sex is just not normal...It''s just wrong."
"That''s not it…really…I just haven''t done anything in years. I feel like I''m missing something out there. It is as if life is just passing me by. I gotta do this. I''m going to do this. I wish you would come with me. We''d have a blast," Tessa said an invitation plain in her voice. She rolled her head on the headrest and gazed softly at Rumour.
Rumour smiled. "What and leave all this?” She let her arms fly out to the side as she spoke softly again.
