Avatar the last air bender is an animated show from nickelodeon by Brian Konietzo y Michael Dimartino.
In a world similar to the feudal times in Japan and China, there are people who can "bend" the elements: air, fire, water and earth, the element you can bend depends of the nation you are from, and just like the elements there are four nations. Only one person can bend the four elements and this person is worship and known as the Avatar. Every time the avatar dies he or she returns in the next nation of the cycle (water, earth, fire, air).
The four nations lived in peace until the fire nation began a war using a comet who brings great power to the fire benders, the world waited for the avatar to end this war, but he never appeared, as the cycle says the avatar must born within the air nomads, and knowing these the fire nation kill them all.
After 100 years one girl Katara a water bender, and her brother Zoka found a boy with a giant bison in an iceberg, the last air bender and the avatar, the three of them began a journey because it isn''t enough that aang is the avatar but he has to learn how to bend the other three elements,
But there is one person desperately looking for the avatar, the former prince of the fire nation zuko, because he had a terrible fight with his father and he exile him giving him a task, if the prince wants his throne back he must capture the avatar, a very difficult mission if we consider that everyone in the fire nation thought that the avatar has died 100 years ago, however zuko runs with luck and find the new avatar, aang.
But the avatar is way too important for the fire nation because is the only one that can stop this war they almost have won, so many others go after him.
This is a great story so well written, if you want something smart to watch on TV definitely I recommend "Avatar" this wonderful anime (although some people think that this isn''t an anime because it isn''t from Japan) has lots of fun, culture and action.
