This is an hilarious book, with a collection of cartoons from the
newspaper comic strip Marmaduke -- 126 of them. Marmaduke is a huge dog, probably a
Great Dane. He is certainly a "canine delinquent;" he
rules the roost, and basically runs whatever he has a mind to. He loves steaks, has a huge appetite, and no
conscience about it. The kids adore him, but he
terrorizes the
neighbors no end, and even rules his
technical master and mistress. It seems to be his way or no way. But the cartoons are very funny and will have you laughing out loud, especially if you have, or have ever had, a big dog.
