V for Vendetta

Book Review   by:Veracity     Original Author: Alan Moore
ª

One of the most intelligent and thought provoking graphic novels of all time, 'V for Vendetta' is a masterwork of political literature that carries on the dystopian tradition of such works as '1984', 'Brave New World', and 'We.' Set in England after the rise of a fascist government, 'V for Vendetta' is a story about one man's fight to destroy the authoritarian regime in which he lives and achieve revenge for what was done to him. Only by destroying the corrupt and totalitarian political regime that exists will it be possible for a freer and juster system to emerge. 'V for Vendetta' is not only a first rate adventure/revenge story, but is also a cogent and insightful look into the philosophical precepts of anarchy, liberty, and justice. Highly recommended for all fans of either graphic novels or political fiction.
