Jimmy Tock is born on the night his grandfather dies. Before the old gentleman passes, he will make predictions about certain dates in Jimmy's life that Jimmy and his parents will learn to dread. They are described as "dark" days and as they will all soon find out that is an accurate description. What are the terrifying things he must face? As each day comes the dread soon turns to a nightmarish event that will change forever the way Jimmy lives his life. The evil that he must face is so pervasive he will either survive or be overtaken by the forces behind the events.
Follow along as Jimmy tries not to let the predictions keep him from living his life. He tries to go on with his daily activities, but soon learns that it doesn't matter if he hides or is out in the open. The things that happen will occur whether he is at home or around town.
This is one of Dean Koontz's best works as far as I am concerned. I am an avid fan of his books and look forward to each one that comes out.
