I would like to recommend a good read by New York Times
bestseller Eric Jerome Dickey called Sleeping with Strangers. This book is the
first of a trilogy.
This story involves a hit man who flees to London after the
repercussions of a contract. The main character, Gideon is mysterious. He is
deadly as well as powerful. He is a man on a mission. His motive for this
dangerous lifestyle is to get a million dollars in order to gain the affection
of a woman he wants. His line of work makes him have enemies. It has all the
elements of a great tale. There was mystery, emotion; plot and all the
characters had a place in the story. The tale begins with him
doing a hit on a preacher and from there it is constant intrigue. The story
also provides an escape into the world of killers, prostitutes, as well as the
brokenhearted. Along the way he meets a lovesick married woman as well as an
actress who is flying overseas to meet her boyfriend.
Ebony magazine declares Dickey’s writing “Passionate and
stylish”. The New York Times dubs him one of the best writers of African
American fiction. He has been on their bestseller list nine times.
If you desire a good gripping novel, I encourage you to read
this page turner and you will not be able to put this book down.
