The Shallow Grave and other true crime stories

Author Chip Michie

From the case files of Christian Botha, South Africa's foremost private investigator.

I love reading suspense and thrillers so when I do visit the library I try to find books on suspense and thrillers and sometimes research books to. I found this book a very interesting read. It is all about seven cases in South Africa that the police could not solve. He is a brilliant investigator. The book is in English and makes for easy reading and no bordom while reading. From the first story to the last makes for interesting reading.

I found the first story of the book the best of them all not that the others were not good reading. What I liked about the book is that it handles about true stories not made up ones and the way that Christian Botha goes to work in finding out all that he needs to be able to solve the case

You as a reader is taken step by step through each fascinating chapter, from the body buried in the back garden of a Johannesburg home, to a man's unexplained drowning. This book is gripping and very entertaining. I recommend this book if you like suspense and murder cases. The book has photographed pictures off cases he had worked on.

The author Chip Michie started as a journalist with her career at the Star then later the Daily News and Woman's Own in London. I enjoy the way she writes her books.
