In the book
“DarkFall”, Dean Kootnz makes the reader feel like they are right there dealing
with the activity of the story line. The
author makes the reader feel like they are part of the story and at any minute;
the super natural being is going to come after the reader. The super natural being will start to chew
and bite the reader like the victims in the book.
The reader
gets to see the budding relationship between Rebecca Chandler and Jack Dawson,
two police officers working the case.
They get to fee the coldness that Rebecca is trying to show everyone and
the reader will get to feel the frustrating that Jack is feeling. Jack isn’t sure whether Rebecca is as happy
as he is about their special moment.
As each
victim encounters the super natural being the readers get the sense of their
fear they are feeling just moments before the creation attacks them. As the reader progress through the book, the
get an urge to yell “Get out there the creatures is coming!” The
reader doesn’t hear the spooky music like in a movie, but the feeling that
overcomes them is the same. The reader
wants and tries to warn the victim before it is their turn to get attacked by
the creature.
Dean Kootnz
in my opinion is an excellent writer that makes the reader feel like they are
part of the story, but the reader is safely at home reading the book. He wants to make sure the reader gets the
same feeling as the victims does
seconds before they are attacked. As the book continues, the reader gets
more scared from the story line, but they are not going to put the book down
for anything. The story line is
interesting to them and the reader wants to know how it ends.
