A tale narrated with a stormy language by a spirit who is prisioner of his horrors, the history tells about a men who it sets sail in a cargo boat of four hundred tons, built in Bombay which carry a shipload of cotton,wool and coconuts, it is clumsily rest on.

One afternoon, the narrator watch the apparition of a growing cloud, he see it until this extend it, he realise that the sea is having changes, the water is so clear that the bottom can be distinguished, however one probe checks that the deepness is of fifteen fathom.

When the night came out all breeze is ceased and an absolute calm is wrapped, the most part of the crew are laid over the bridge, but the narrator feel a misfortune coming, when the captain told him that a simoom could came, he shrink his shoulders.

The narrator say that before of tread the latest step, a terrify rumor came over, it beat the ship, a strike from the sea throw it and a wave sweep the cover from prow to stern.

The ship drown completely to reappeared newly, hardly it stood, being saved himself from drowning for a miracle next to a old swedish.

The ship is at derive it keeps a fixed rhumb, the sun it´s turning yellow and has a sick resplandence, just before to drowning in the sea, it´s resplandence suddenly dissappeared as it turn off. It never dawn again, the waiting for a sixth day is in vane, an endless night cover them, it is imposible distinguish the things just a few steps of distance.

Sometimes they are in the cusp of the wave to go down to the deep, they prepare themselves to die, discouraged when they are in the deep of a liquid cliff, they see coming a gigant vessel of more than four thousand tons, it came sliding through the steep wave just to attack them, the vessel crashed against the vessel, in the impact the narrator is hurled to the cover of the gigant vessel, it never again see to the old swedish.

The crew of that vessel don´t see to notice his presence, he is inexplicably unseen to that silent and strange crew.Always sailing to the south with a incredible speed, with the time he stood just between of the crew without noticed, all of them are quite old.

The ship is over a current which impulse them, suddenly he realise that they are arriving to the end of the seas in a gigant whirlpool which swallow them.
