In my exploration towards SIXTH SENSE, I came across a book
named ‘The No-Nonsense Guide to the 6th Sixth' written by
Shelley von Strunckel, one day. The book appeared
interesting to me and I bought it. One topic, which I
noticed was, ‘Numerology’, or the Science of Numbers. It
attracted me a lot. I learnt how Numbers influence one’s
life. I share it with all as this may of help to any and
everyone. It is based on simple mathematical calculations.
There are various theories of Numerology, from various
astrologers and numerologists.

They say,

“IT IS ALL IN A NAME” .By studying the name of a person,
one derives, what is called the Expression Number.
Expression Number describes the part of you, which is
shared with others. It means one’s personality, work and
the way of thought. Just as one changes his or her name,
the way of using the Expression number can also be changed.
Now, the question arises, how do we calculate the
Expression Number? Very easily!

According to the “Cabala or Kabbala Theory”, who set a
table for the 26 English Alphabets, where each letter
corresponds to a number. The table is like;

Now, one’s full name is written and its corresponding
number is placed against it. Then, the numbers are added up
to give a single primary number. This is called the
numerical value of the name. Say for example, if one’s name
is,

ANNE LOUISE, then we get 2 numbers as 1555 which equals 16
and 363915 which, equals on addition as 27. We further add
1 and 6 to derive the No. 7 and the same follows. So we
get 2 numbers, which we again add to get the Primary
Number, for the name, as 9. A planet (9 types) rules each
primary number. One’s expression details are the qualities
mentioned against each planet. Here, No 9, is ruled by Mars.

Further, as I read, I found that every individual also has
a Destiny Number. This is arrived by adding the D-O-B
numbers for the person. For example if an individual’s Date
of Birth is 22 Dec 1954, we add them to derive a primary
number. As,

2+2 = 4; December is the 12th month of the Year, so
it gets the number 1+2=3; adding 1954 we get 19. We
reduce No. 19 to a single digit as 1 (1+9=10. We take it as
1. Now, adding up, 4+3+1 we derive the Destiny number as 8.

As mentioned above, No. 8 has a planet, which represents
its energies. In this case, the individual’s destiny is
ruled by the Sun. In numerological analysis, the destiny
number is viewed as revealing the fundamental nature. The
elements of destiny number describe the inborn traits,
which cannot be changed. It refers to the direction and the
pace at which one function’s, the sort of life one
fulfills.

But different numerologists have different theories.
Contrary to the above Theory of Numbers, there is another
famous Theory of Numbers, propounded by Cheiro’s. According
to Cheiro’s, the Birth No is most important while analyzing
an individual. Calculating a Single No, only from D-O-B
derives the Birth Number. For example, if a person is born
on 26-July-1960, his Birth Number is 2+6 = 8. A particular
zodiac sign or a planet is referred to it. Here, it is
Saturn.

It is an interesting topic to study and easy to understand.
Numerology is a science, which helps individuals to know
others and oneself, better. I have really admired knowing
numbers and how they influence people’s lives.
