A soft steady drizzle assaulted me as I stood alone by the coffin in the cemetery. The last of the entourage had finally gone. I stood there ;paying my last respects to the woman I thought would one day be my wife. It was not to be. Tears rolled down my face merging with the raindrops already washing my skin. I didn't go to the church, for her family made it clear I wasn't welcome there. The caretaker eyed me from his place across the cemetery.Suddenly I felt a cold chill run up my spine and travel around my face. It felt like icy fingers dancing along my skin. I shivered.I heard a familiar voice whisper in my ear. You haven't lost me my love,I am still here. My family, even the grave could not keep me from you.

At that moment the lid to the sealed coffin began to open.A pale thin dainty hand gripped the side.Slowly she sat up, her eyes popped open. From the corner of my eyes I could see the caretaker running an 8.9 hundred in the opposite direction.I stand there with mixed feelings. This isn't my Linda, not the woman I love, She's not a vampire; so what is she? Vampires, according to lore has to be in the grave three days before they return from the dead. Climbing out of her coffin, she comes toward me. That smile I know so well lighting up that deathly pale face. As she parts her lips, I see the fangs glistening. Come to me she whispers. Let's join forever in love. Her voice sounds so soothing, I find myself giving in as hypnotically I walk toward her. After all this is the woman I love.

I hear a whistling sound whizz past my ear.The woman in front of me grabs at her breast as blood
gushes from around a wooden projectile now buried deep in the area of her heart.Honey... help me!!! She then slumps to the ground. Turning I look to see who destroyed the vampire, saving my life. It is the Caretaker Jonathan Van Helsing. The grandson of my nemisis. Does he know? Has he guessed? I stand glued to the spot. Turning he walks away.I must call a meeting later, let all my kind know we have to be careful. We've lost one. That damnable caretaker must pay
