Casey Bannister had moved to Greenberg in upstate New York to please his wife Rachel. She loved the old Sommerville place the very first time she set eyes on it. Unfortunately, Rachel hardly had time to enjoy the place before cancer took her life. Now retired from his job as a New York City homicide detective, Casey looks to Greenberg as a way to retreat from the world. Despite his intense desire to be left alone, Casey finds himself drawn into a local murder investigation. Try and Catch the Wind is a
mystery novel written with solid well developed characters and a smoothly presented storyline. Greenberg is a
small town with lots of secrets. This creates plenty of realistic conflict over the amount of information that outsiders (people not born and raised in the small town) should be privy to during the
investigation at hand as well as a general feeling that the killer couldn’t possibly be one of them.
