The story begins in 1533. A fleet of ancient sailing reed ships set sail for an inland island to bury the last Inca king’s treasure. galleon loaded with treasure plundered from the Americas. Included in the hoard was a map detailing the location of the Inca’s treasure. As a present to his queen, Drake sends the captured galleon with his friend in command, to England. While on the journey to Plymouth, the galleon was lost when a huge tsunami from an undersea earthquake struck.

Dirk Pitt with Al Giordino rescues the scientist from drowning. However, after the rescue, the archeologists were captured by international criminals posing as Maoist guerrillas. From then on it was a battle of wits between Pitt and the criminal organization of international art thieves. It became a race for time when maps leading to the ancient treasure of the Incas valued nearly a billion dollars, where discovered by Pitt and the art thieves.
The story rushes to a climax between Pitt, his friends, the FBI, The Customs Bureau, and a tribe of Sonoran Indians against the international band of art thieves, beneath a subterranean river and canyon of darkness and death, where the ancient treasure is buried.
Can Pitt rescue his friends and defeat the organization of ruthless criminals to save the day?
Inca Gold is pure Dirk Pitt at its best.
