The first thing that comes to my mind when I hear people talking about
thriller books, are the magnificent stories of Edgar
Allan Poe. This talented writer, wrote a lot of
thriller stories, as well as detective and police stories. They way in which he can relate fantasy elements to the "very normal" life of his characters, makes the reader anxious about the end from the very beggining. And I think that there are few authors that can achive that as well as he did.For example, the first story I read was "The Black Cat". As I wasn´t very aware of who he was and what he wrote, I didn´t expected much when I started reading. But, when I reached to the part when the cat starts to miaow from the other side of the bricks wall, I was completly amazed. So amazed, that I read it again, which is a very typical behaviour of myself when I find, not good
things, but excellent things to read. And that single story was the one that, then made me read pretty much every story of Edgar Allan Poe, in order to find more of his spectacular intelligence and fascinating way and style of writing.I would recommend any story because each and one of the them has a special "thing", a special twist that transforms it into a delightful thing to read. Of course, I´m only talking to those who loved thriller stories like me!
