So Jeffrey Archer is back with his latest book "Prisoner By Birth".
The bestselling author of books such as "not penny
more, not a penny less ","kane & abel " etc.... just manages deliver time with his new book.
The book borrows heavily from the "Count of Monte Cristo " and Archer's own imprisonment .
The protagonist is sent to prison for a murder which he did not commit. Here he meets his friend and mentor just like in Monte Cristo. He escapes as an imposter to exact revenge on the people who did this to him. This forms the basic plot of the book.
The plus point of this book is that it contain the usual twists and suspense of a Jeffrey Archer novel which makes it interesting to read.
Archer is able to hold the imagination of the reader with his furious pace of storytelling and his smart and detailed characters some of whom you genuinely tend to like as the story moves on.
The narration by Archer is simly terrific. This makes the book really worth reading.
I would rate the book 7 out of 10.
