Disclosure

Book Review by: Alpheus

Original Author: Michael Crichton
Disclosure is a gripping tale of deception, betrayal and intrigue. A fast-paced thriller penned by best-selling
author Michael Crichton, Disclosure is a nerve-wracking portrayal of manipulation and contrivance in the corporate world where individuals adopt unscrupulous means to move up the ranks. It is an edge-of-the-seat suspense that revolves around Thomas Sanders, an ambitious, talented and hard-working employee of a Computer industry, who dreams of heading his division.
Thomas Sanders is the division manager of the Advanced Products Group in DigiCom. Over the years, Sanders has an exceptional track record by virtue of which he is slated to be promoted to head the group after the merger with a publishing conglomerate, Conley- White. Things look rosy for Sanders. However, in a bizarre twist of events, Sanders’ world falls apart as his ex-girlfriend, Meredith Johnson is appointed as the vice-president of the company which would mean he has to work under her. In addition to her incompetence, Johnson has a history of using immoral means to climb up the corporate ladder. Just when he comes to terms with the realization that his dreams of a promotion are shattered, Sanders is framed by Johnson for sexual-harassment and to his agony and disbelief, he realizes that she is not the only person involved.
How Sanders manages to undermine Johnson’s plans and eventually stumbles upon a disturbing truth makes for a compelling read. The drama unravels at a sizzling pace as numerous twists and turns are introduced. Disclosure is a master-stroke from the uncrowned king of sci-fi and corporate thrillers.

    DISCLOSURE

It sounds a lot like the movie with Demi Moore and Michael Douglas, but I can't think of the title right now.
