After the failure of two world war two Imperial submarines to launch a biological
attack on cities in the US,a group
of terrorists some sixty years later
plan to re-launch the attack.Only this time,with far greater impact.
This brilliant adventure thriller begins from Kure Naval Base in Japan,at the end
of 1944.From there we follow the journey of one of the
Imperial submarines as
its crew prepares for the attack.After stopping to refuel in the Aleutians,the sub proceeds to the northwest coast.When it arrives,the attack is to be made on four
US cities by their two on board sea planes.
However,on the morning of the attack,things go wrong and this causes a delay.
The imperial submarine is spotted,a naval vessel is sent out and it sinks it.
Now in the present,Dirk Pitt of the National Underwater Marine Agency,in time
learns of the second world war submarine.He goes in search of it and he succeeds.
When diving to take a closer look and to find any deadly
canisters on board,he sees
something which tells him that some-body has been there before him.
Later on,the second imperial submarine is discovered.This though is too deep for divers.So,Dirk with his sister named Summer go down in a submersible to
look at it.They find deadly canisters in tact.Then,they proceed with the salvage of them.During the salvage operation,the group of terrorists take over the ship they
are on and make them hand over the canisters which hold the deadly virus.
The terrorists then take Dirk and Summer away with them.They manage to get away,narrowly escaping death in the process.
The race is now on to stop this evil act!
