Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder

Beauty and the Beast Fairy tales often convey strong messages of love, affection, care, kindness and many more which blend our character. When great pieces of literature convey these messages in a complex way, riding us through the complexities of life, fairy tales speak in a simple way. An old saying goes, ’He is great who doesn’t lose his child’s heart’. When you look at the world, with a child’s heart, everything begins to seem so beautiful, so simple, exciting and wonderful. Be a child for once and you will understand how well said is that proverb. Did you still say,’ Fairy tales are meant for children’? This is what I have to say, ’It all depends on how we look at them’. Haven’t you heard of the tale,’ Beauty and the Beast’. How beautifully does it spread the fragrance of love and care? There is beauty in love and this love can take many forms. It can be the affection of a father towards his daughter, a daughter’s love for her father and even Beauty’s love for the Beast!!! A Beast’s love for Beauty does not require any explanation. You can love someone because that someone is beautiful.
It deserves admiration when someone becomes beautiful, because you love that someone. This is where Beauty’s love attains divinity. Beast is a horrible, terrifying creature. Beauty, who shivered at the very thought of the Beast, slowly…begins to wait impatiently for the arrival of the Beast. But each time they depart, Beauty turns down his proposal. At the end of the tale, Beauty falls for the love, care, gentleness and all the goodness of the Beast, who always took Beauty’s wish as his command, and agrees to marry him. Beast, who is freed from the curse, turns into a Prince-A true reward for Beauty’s love. Beauty recites happily,’ I loved you as a beast and I find it in my heart to love you equally well as a prince. And they lived happily ever after… So aren’t we forced to admit that Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder, or in one’s heart?
